Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope this special day finds you surrounded by warmth, joy, and maybe a slice of pumpkin pie (or two). Love that pie! Whether you’re feasting on turkey or munching on celery, I really hope that you can all come together in the spirit of sanity and harmony—turkey eaters and non-turkey eaters alike!

This Thanksgiving, I’m really excited to share a little something special with you: an excerpt from my upcoming book, STRANGE FATE; Book One: Mystic. This marks the beginning of the two-book finale of the NIGHT WORLD series, which will conclude with Book Two: Apocalypse. It has been a joy writing this series, and I sincerely hope you’ll love its conclusion as much as I’ve loved bringing it to life.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to soon share a Christmas present—an excerpt from my new adult book, LULLABY. Like STRANGE FATE, it’s in the final stages of editing, and I can’t wait for you to take a quick dive into its world.

Now, the big question on my mind: What should I write next? I’d love to hear your suggestions!

I have some ideas myself—one I really love—but I am also open to new concepts.

Thank you for reading this far, for being the best readers an author could ever hope for, and for supporting me on my incredible journey as a writer. I adore you all more than words can say, my lovelies!

Wishing you a glorious Thanksgiving and happy reading,

L. J. Smith Signature

I have loved this series for so long. It has remained my favorite book series since 2012 when my friend lent me her copy of all of the books. I recommend it to all my friends as well and I think about it often. I am so excited to read the next books. Thank you for everything you’ve done. ♥ It has made a huge impact on my life.

Welcome back! I hope you are doing well, and I’m so happy to see that you seem to be so active in your writing again! I am a huge Vampire Diaries fan, and I was very excited back in 2014, when you were able to continue your own vision for the series. I’ve of course been wondering, over the last decade, whether you’d be able to continue. I was so sorry to hear of your health struggles. I’d look you up occasionally over the years to see if I could find any recent updates, and this time I was so glad to find your new website! (I was initially disappointed to see the old one had not been updated. Now I see why.) I’m not sure if there have been any recent blog posts before this one. Anything else I find has not been updated since around 2015 (I think I originally saw your post about Evensong on Goodreads). So if you do have a link to any other platform you have used since then, I’d love to get caught up! Otherwise, I’m just glad to see you’re back at it. And of course, selfishly, I’d love to see new Vampire Diaries content. I know it was kind of a niche situation with Kindle Worlds (I don’t even know if that’s still a thing), so I don’t know what you’re allowed to do legally at the moment. But from my very ignorant perspective, it seems like anyone should be able to write and post “fanfiction” – of course the difference would be that you deserve to receive compensation for your work – and I, and I’m sure many others, would certainly want to contribute to that! I wonder if a “donate” option could circumnavigate any legal issues, if you were to post a book openly? I am definitely not the expert. But I do hope to see more updates soon. And if you’re looking for suggestions, that is mine! I am also curious, if perhaps you have finished, or nearly finished the series, and just do not have a way to distribute it yet. Again, glad to see your online presence, and I wish you the best!

So glad to see you doing as well as one can be and I hope you enjoy the holidays with friend and loved ones.

I would like a forbidden games sequel or another book in the dark visions series.
I also would like more books to the heart of valor/night of the Solstice series. I want more adventure with the kids and that talking vixen.
For new series maybe a series with fairies or something that involves the elements.
